Springfield College provides undergraduate and graduate programs in health sciences, business, education, and the arts and sciences. There are five schools at Springfield College.
Known by many people as where the game of basketball was invented, Springfield College is a private, coeducational collect in Springfield, Massachusetts. (When basketball was invented back in 1891 by James Naismith, Springfield College was known as the International Young Men’s Christian Association Training School. The college is about two miles from downtown Springfield’s central business and entertainment districts.
Springfield College has nine satellite campuses for its School of Human Services. These are located throughout the United States in Boston, Springfield, Charleston, South Carolina, Houston, Texas, Manchester, New Hampshire, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ST. Johnsbury, Vermont, Tampa, Florida, Wilmington, Delaware, and Southern California.
Springfield College focuses on human and social services, sports movement activities, arts and sciences, and health sciences. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. It is part of the Hartford-Springfield regional alliance and cultural partnership. This is known as New England’s Knowledge Corridor.
