Quincy College is a municipally affiliated two-year college with campuses located in Plymouth and Quincy, Massachusetts.
Located in Quincy, Massachusetts, Quincy College is a public junior college open admission commuter school offering associate’s degrees in several professional fields. It offers 32 associate degree programs and 11 certificate programs. They include Professional Programs, Natural & Health Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Nursing. Quincy College is recognized by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and licensed by the Board of Higher Education of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which permits it to award the degrees of Associate in Science and Associate in Arts.
Quincy College was founded in the mid-1950’s when it started offering classes at the Coddington Elementary School. It was sponsored by the Quincy School Department and used faculty from Eastern Nazarene College. The program became known as Quincy Junior College when the Common Wealth of Massachusetts permitted it to begin awarding Associates Degrees in 1958. Quincy College now draws students from 100 countries and from the greater Boston area.
In 1991, Quincy College opened up their Plymouth Campus in Plymouth, Massachusetts just thirty minutes south of Quincy.
