Midland College is a comprehensive, community, junir college located in Midland, Texas. Founded in 1975, it currently has a 704,752-square foot main campus, which is located on 224 acres. Midland, Texas the county seat of Pecos County. It primarily serves the Permian Basin region of west Texas and southeast New Mexico. Midland College also has a number of off-campus locations throughout Midland as well as Fort Stockton, Texas. Its history goes back to September 1969, when it was the Midland campus for the Permian Junior College system.
