Since 1866, Davenport University has become a leading higher education institution across Michigan.
Davenport University has 11 campuses, which are located in Michigan. Davenport University's W. A. Letting Main Campus is located in Caledonia, Michigan, which is just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is a non-profit, private university. It offers a wide range of degrees do include associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s. Currently, it does not offer doctoral programs. However, it does offer several post-grad programs in technology, and health.
Davenport University was founded in 1866 and was originally located in downtown Grand Rapids. At that time the college’s focus was on office-related skills.
Davenport University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. They received this regional accreditation in 1976.
One emphasis at Davenport University is its Strategic Business Programs. These focus on organizational transformation, leveraging the university resources (i.e. their instructors), and developing long-term relationships with their business partners. Davenport University's program include Executive Coaching and Mentorship, Corporate Leadership and Management, Strategic Partnerships, and Certification and Credential Programs.
The school also operates Davenport University Online, which offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees programs. They post 24/7 tech support for their students so that these technology-based degree programs can be experienced with as little frustration as possible. They also claim that their instructors are qualified at the master’s or PhD level and have related practical (i.e. non-academic) experience in their field.
